    Edit/Update:
    -Added a bike rack to it. I got the Ibera PakRak Bicycle Touring Carrier Plus+, which works great for my needs. I had to buy extra long mounting arms to get the bike rack mounted to my bike though.
    -Still love it.

    Original Post:
    I bought this to get around campus faster, and for a little more exercise. I take the train to campus and then ride around campus with it so I have mainly used it for paved roads, with the roughest part being a short gravel road. I thought it was easy to put together, but I’ve put a few box-bikes together before. I use a car rack for my bike only because it was easier for me and I had a rack already.

    Pros:
    -Easy to put together
    -26″ Wheels
    -Holding up well after using it daily / Sturdy
    -Speed shifter on right hand side
    -Resistance shifter on left hand side
    -It has rear eyelets if you want to add a rear frame mounted bike rack
    -Quick release front tire.
    -Water bottle can be mounted to down post
    -Comes with a horn!

    Cons:
    -The thickness of the down tube makes it so I can’t use normal U-locks
    -Also not a pro or con, but there is no bottom tube. So if you want to use a car mount you can use the triangles near the seat tube for one of the mount’s arms.

    Love it..bike works great, the bike is a little heavy but obviously with the motor and battery, there was no way around that.. Bike is so much fun and great for getting around town. Could not be more pleased.

    So far i’m loving this bike, I weigh about 250lbs, so i was a bit skeptical about the amount of power i could expect, However this bike flies! That’s with an additional 50lbs of camera gear as well!

    This is the 2nd one that we have purchased. We bought one in September for our (adult) son for his birthday. He loved it. It is very sturdy and easy to use. Our other son fell in love with his brother’s e-bike and thought about purchasing one. His brother talked him out of it so we bought one for him. 🙂 Now they do regular multi-state tours together with their e-bikes!

    Super Fast!! And kinda sketchy!

    I’ve had it for about half a year now so I’ve become quite aquainted.

    Pros
    -It’s FAST. 33mph on flat without pedaling! On flat with pedaling almost got up to 40mph!
    -Decent torque. (I’m 170lbs) Without pedaling it accelerates about as fast as most cars do from stoplights. Pushes me up hills up to about 5-7% grade(I think)
    -Hasn’t broken yet. I ride it every day to school (8 miles total) and I’ve had it in some rain and I’ve taken it on the sandy beach with it hasn’t lost any power I can notice.

    Cons
    -Technically the bike is not road legal unless you plug in the motor limiter to 750W. If you’re riding at full 1000W on roads then your taking a risk and it’s your own responsibility.
    -Did I mention it’s FAST!!! So helmet is a must, and also you have to be more alert to your surroundings than a normal human-power bike.

    I run a small bike-power household waste pickup service in Illinois, and have been looking into something to “assist” me and the other riders with some of the steeper hills, while hauling a trailer load of heavy food scraps. As I did some research I found that most electric bicycles don’t have enough power to haul that kind of weight uphill, due to federal regulations.

    So I was on the lookout for a more powerful electric bike that could handle the extra cargo. I finally came across this bike and decided to pull the trigger and try one out.

    Boy has this transformed my daily pickup route experience! Hills that I used to dread became a breeze. Of course the bike didn’t reach 30mph while hauling the trailer, but that wasn’t my intention. Now I’m actually finding that this electric assist bike helps me to do LONGER routes/rides so I can do more pickups in a day without getting spent. So not only has it made the work easier and more enjoyable, but it’s actually starting to make us more profitable as well!

    I’ll add a few more of these to the fleet soon!

It's very hard to find a commercially available Ebike with a true 1000W motor. This is likely due to federal restrictions on such bikes on US streets. However, we understand that there are sometimes when you NEED that much power, like for heavier riders, or hauling heavy cargo/trailers or just joy-riding on private property.  It's the right and freedom of each citizen to use these bikes responsibly.
